We're quite well covered for marshals and helpers for this years race, so if any Harriers wish to run the race that's no problem. We will need a few more people to help on the day, and to help set up the course on the day before, so please speak to Bob on Wednesday nights, or leave a message here.

I'm looking for volunteers to act as the following on race day; - Marshall coordinator - responsible for a portion of the course, ensuring that marshalls are in the right place and have an understanding of what they need to do.
- car park coordinator - take charge of car parking on the day.
You do not need to recruit marshalls, we will use the volunteers that we have, although the more the merrier. I will meet with you either on the day before the race, or another mutually convenient date to brief you and make sure you have everything you need. I have the pleasure of coordinating the marshalls on the day, so you will not be doing all this on your own. If you are prepared to take on one of these important roles, would you please let me know as soon as possible. You can email me on mfraser1968@btinternet.com, or let myself, Bob or Grant know on a Wednesday night. If you are interested, but a little worried about what it might involve please talk to one of us. Thanks Matt

Online entries via the Runners World website are now closed.
It is highly unlikely that we will have any entries on the day. Updates will be posted here, but it is advised that if you do not have a number then don't travel on the day.

Thanks to all that helped yesterday, i thought everything was near perfect, and for that you deserve a massive pat on the back and thank you.
I really enjoyed the course as well, the hills were a great training tool for me and my time of 1:46 was a surprise too.

Some very positive comments on the Runners World website. Anyone who took part in organising and/or helped on the day should take a look. Well done to everyone who did their bit. I think a huge vote of thanks are in order for Bob and Grant who have been working on this for months. Also my own thanks to Mailynne and Russell, Russ, Michael Murdock and Graham for acting as marshal section leaders. www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/ratingsall.asp?sp=&v=2&ugn=4746&en=48793

Big thanks to all who were involved in organising yesterday's 1/2 marathon. Was a superb event. Beat my last year's time despite v. little practice this year (I blame the onset of fatherhood). Has motivated me to try and escape for one night a week and join up with the Harriers this winter! Martin R Hollingbourne

Hi Martin
Well done for Sunday.
If you want to know anything about Wednesday evening then just ask, otherwise we'll look forward to seeing you from 7.15pm at the Hockey Club. Just make yourself known to one of the weird looking old guys behind the tables!!

I shall make a point of standing in front of the tables in that case!

Good to meet a few people last night. Run was a bit knackering after the weekend 1/2 but I managed to keep up! Think I might come along again next week... Martin, Hollingbourne
