We are still looking for a 5th person to come along to the KFL Cross Country Relays this coming Sunday. So far we have Paula Stockton, Lyndon Gurr, Michael White and Matt Fraser. I guess we'll turn up and hope we can make up a team. Anyone interested post a reply or just turn up. Looking at past reports there seems to be a lot of mixing and matching to make up teams on the day if necessary anyway. The following link will get you there: www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=568383&y=170021&z=3&sv=568383,170021&st=4&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf&ax=568383&ay=170021

Female wanted! This is a plea from my sick bed. I'm currently laid up with a virus and have spent the last 3 days in bed. I therefore can't see myself being able to run crosscountry on Sunday morning. I don't want to let the team down and I know you have to have at least one female in the team so is there anyone out there who can take my place on Sunday? I know Julie S. was keen on running but I don't know how to contact her. Sorry to Lyndon, Michael and Matt. I hope you manage to find someone else.

Female Found! Hi Paula - had Julie's email address so emailed her and she is definitely on for relays on Sunday. Hope you feel better soon and your legs are ok.

Thanks for that Sarah, I can rest easy in my bed! I hope they are having fun at the moment, it's a nice morning for it. I'm getting the feeling that someone up there just doesn't want me to run London this year. Finally after 4 weeks of rest my leg is sorted but now I've gone and got the flu and am facing at least a couple of weeks of no exercise. 5 days in bed with nothing but daytime TV for company is enough to make anyone depressed. Do people really choose to watch Jeremy Kyle for fun?!

It was fun. We had a full team consisting of Julie Stoppani, Craig Peak, Michael White, Lyndon Gurr and myself.
I think our final place was 24 out of 27 - but it' s the taking part that's important!
Excellent weather, great location - but joining instructions on the website were not very clear leading to me turning up at Cascades Leisure Centre, and the rest turning up at the Country Park. We did meet in time to register and run though.
Buffet at the end was nice, and Michael won a box of choccies in the raffle.
See what you all missed?

The results are finally posted and we came 21st out of 28. So not quite as bad as at first thought. It was definitely worth it. Good fun but quite a lot of hanging around.
I can't believe I've won something in the raffle. That's the first time in 3 years of KFL. Just as well I was sitting down when I read it.
