I had a phone call last night from Rosie McMahon's husband, Shane, to say that he and Rosie had been involved in a car accident in Preston a few days ago. Shane was released from hospital yesterday but Rosie is still unconscious. Shane has said he will keep me informed with her progress.
I will buy a card and bring it with me on Wednesday for us all to sign, and when Rosie regains consciousness then I shall send some flowers from the club.
I'm sure you will want to join me in sending Rosie lots of love and wish her a full and speedy recovery.

The thoughts of club members are with them both at this anxious time.
Let's hope that she soon regains consciousness, gets better and is soon back with us.

Good afternoon everyone.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Rosie McMahon has passed away as a result of the injuries she sustained in the car accident over a week ago.
Our thoughts go to Shane and the rest of the family at this very difficult time.
I will obtain a condolences card and bring it along on Wednesday evening for you all to sign.
Please feel free to write any messages on here in memory of her.
David

Horrible news. I'd like to echo David's comments that our thoughts go out to Shane and her family.
I spent the evening with Rosie a couple of weeks ago at a party and had a great time in her company. Can't believe how quickly things can change.
Apparently she died in Shane's arms last night.
The funeral will be next week sometime in Manchester and Shane will let us know when he has more details.

It is a very sad day for the club and our thoughts should be with Rosie's family at this time.
I only new Rosie probably a year or so and one thing that always springs to mind is the lovely smile she had and the determination to do what ever was next, I once had a conversation with her and she told me she had a list of things she wanted to achieve in life and I know she was determined to do them. Sad thing was last week I watched the film "Bucket list" I never put the connection together until I heard this sad news.
So in memory of Rosie - Life is to short to put of till the future what you could achieve in the present, enjoy it while you can. RIP

So very sad to hear the news of Rosie.
We ran together with our small Saturday group and always had a long chat and catch up with the week's events. She was so full of fun and plans for the future. I really can't believe this has happened.
Maybe we could organise a special club run in Rosie's memory a little later on in the year.

Lovely idea Janet. Rosie was a perfect club member. Always helping at events, content with her level of running and supportive of her club mates.

Very tragic news. My memories of Rosie are of someone who always seemed to be smiling and keen to enjoy life.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Shane and her family.
Let this be a lesson to us all - 'live for today'

Yes, really sad news; still can't believe it. I will also always remember Rosie's lovely smile, friendly nature and willingness to help others. I spent a very enjoyable curry night with her recently. She always asked Jo and I if she could help out with anything at social events. I agree Jan, it would be a lovely idea to have a special club run later in the year in memory of her. The club will not be the same without her.

Although we only knew Rosie for about a year we got to know her really well on our Saturday morning runs. Rosie was always the first volunteer to help at any of the club's events and fully supported the club in every way.Her lovely smile and bubbly personality will be sorely missed by all. Our deepest sympathy goes to Shane and Rosie's family. We would fully support any event organised in Rosie's memory RIP Bob and Julie

I worked with Rosie for a short time personally. She gave everything she had and allways had a smile, She was a regular on a thursday evening's sessions again giving her all.
She will be missed greatly. My thoughts are also for shane and her family.
A run in her honour would be quite fitting.

Such a loss. Lots of love to Shane and Rosie's family.
A memorial run sounds a very sensible plan and perhaps a minute quiet at presentation evening. Sharon x
